GIA Fluorescence Reference Block

  • $299.00

The GIA Fluorescence Reference Block is a calibrated tool to assist with estimating fluorescence intensity for diamonds with blue fluorescence, and consists of the block casing and calibrated paper strips. It can be used in conjunction with a longwave 365 nanometer ultraviolet (UV) light source, such as our Multispec shortwave and longwave 365 nanometer ultraviolet (UV) light sourceThe block consists of four openings that represent, in order from left to right, the upper limits for GIA’s None, Faint, Medium, and Strong standards for blue fluorescence in diamond. These visual references have been calibrated based on the millions of diamonds graded by GIA laboratories worldwide.

Features:

  • Provides the same calibrated references used by GIA for evaluating the intensity of blue fluorescence in diamond
  • Four visual comparisons show blue diamond fluorescence ranging from “None” to “Strong”
